    A non-WIS friend shared this photo with me that he took at Chicago's Adler Planetarium yesterday. He said I would know what it is...;)

    I'm just curious about the fixed spring bars. NASA mod?

    Looks like something took 9 hours 22 minutes 59 seconds. or the piece has some mad chrono creep issues ;)

    Are they fixed though? At the bottom left lug you can see an exposed collar / joint (the bit where the slidey bit goes into the main bar bit on the springbar - forgive the technical terminology :) ). Most fixed tend to be a solid bar fixed in width.

    Does look like fat spring bars to me too.
