With all this speedy talk I wanted too show the magnificent way light flies around and deflects off of the delicate pie pan dial, the subtle beauty and understated grace of a gentleman's watch, not quite a full on dress watch, sporty, but not a sport watch either, just that perfect place in between.
Not quite the screw down crown or masculine lines of the Rolex datejust or the bold statement of IWC, just the quite king of the Swiss market of the time, the omega constellation... Ok, ok, maybe a little too much, but seriously this is a gorgeous watch!!

That's such a great watch too! I'm curious, do you have a good watchmaker that knows how to service these? I know nesbits in Seattle but I hate to send it across country.. I've lost faith in my local guy after he tried to convince me that my dial isn't original just because it's gold with a ss case, like omega didn't make tons in that configuration. How do you like yours compared with others? I bet your itching to get it back! It's my favorite watch so far I've seen!

Thanks. My local guy here said I paid too much. But he is not on the Internet. ::facepalm1::
Older gentleman with 40 years experience. Told him just a clean oil and gaskets. No polishing. I'm starting to wonder if sending it off somewhere else might have been better. I'll be sure to post new pictures when it's back home.

Sure! It's not perfect, but close enough for me since I actually wear it everyday! I would like to get the movement cleaned up a bit but I don't want to send out to just anybody. I think these watches are so beautiful I wish omega still made a watch like this, even though the new one is nice, is just not quite AS nice.

While I've been known to wear a Constellation or two :whistling:, this thread struck me as having a certain feel that was in common with the every day tooling around of this Seamaster.
