I have recently had a gold Omega watch with a black dial and gold expandable bracelet stolen (circa 1967). The appearance of the watch was similar to the attached image 'Omega_circa-1967.jpg'.

Can anyone assist with further identification please, together with an indication of value?

Problem is similar to that watch could mean $50 to $5,000 or more.

Is it possible from the photograph, which appears to show an identical representation of the watch that was stolen, to at least identify the exact Model name?

It was plated, and had a steel back.

Need some more detailed info to help
    If gold
    9k, 14k, 18k ?
    Omega bracelet?
Solid Gold or plated bracelet ?
(Was there ever an expanding solid gold vintage Omega bracelet?)
All this makes a significant difference to value

    Thank you for your help.
The watch was 18k, the bracelet was plated and came with the watch in 1967 (unfortunately, I don't know if it was an Omega bracelet or not (assume not). There would not have been an expanding solid gold vintage Omega bracelet.

Can't help with the exact watch reference
Assuming it isn't a particularly rare reference a quick trawl of Ebay to buy a 'standard' vintage 18k Omega will show it is going to set you back give or take £1000+
Since you are looking at insurance value it doesn't matter if your watch was 'collector grade' so instead Google for retailers selling vintage Omegas to find one as near in style as possible - as you need a replacement value
(Try to research the country you are in to convince your insurers as prices vary - eg generally more expensive in the UK cos we're suckers for a vintage watch and as its a smaller market its like shooting rats in a barrel)
Dealers prices will be 50-100% higher - perhaps even more
    Hope that helps

    BTW
A bit of back story to the watch like - who's it was, where and how it was stolen and when - would go a long way to appease our more cynical forum brethren
They will also keep an eye out for it should it reappear for sale (long shot)

    My sympathy.

If it has a steel back, it cannot be 18k solid gold. Plated like you said would not have much value. In case of solid gold, its weight would be around 30g so its worth would be that of the gold content plus about $500.

In the Omega vintage world, all the ID info is inside the watch and it's close to impossible to identify the exact model by just looking at the outside. It's definitely pointless trying to ID through a similar watch.

    Bullet special?

Oh on the question of did omega make vintage 18k gold expandable bracelets, the answer is YES.

I have an exapanding 18k Omega signed oyster bracelet on my late 60s Seamaster date chronometer .

    Good hunting
