Band / Strap freak I realize I'm having a bunch of different bands that I stock in a very chaotic manner at the moment. Leather, steel, silicon, suede... those bands are more or less precious / rare / expensive and I'm asking myself if anybody here has a good tip for stocking and have them organized.

After a quick search I've found this kind of box :



But I'm not sure I'm looking to spend 250€ for stocking bands (I'd rather buy another italian leather band )...

How do you guys manage this?

I need something better. I have a cheap valet box like the one below and it's packed to the gills.

 

I'm very happy to have found this on Ebay, fits up to 20mm width and holds loads of straps. It has made storing and choosing a pleasure.

While looking around dollarama ( Canadian dollar store ) for a way to organize my growing bow tie collection, I found a cheap way to organize my watch straps.

Right now I only have about 13 straps so organizing them is not to bad, but in going back to pick up another box for when my collection expands.



It's a hardware organizer, works great! Looks cheap, but that's because it is.

Agree. Especially when the wood seems to (have) contain(ed) wood wurm: it might infect the rest of the house too....

A good recommendation someone else made was getting a knife or tool roll for the straps. Something like this:

I ended up getting the amazing Bulang and Sons leather strap roll, but it really is overkill. The material is super, super soft but totally unnecessary for something that's mainly used for storage.
