Hi Chaps, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-Spe...es_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item27e5613403Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Is it me, or is this steep £ in such scratched condition... or does age and DON etc, make it still viable with a fix? Thanks
I wouldn't worry about the scratched crystal so much as I would about the lack of pics of the movement, inside of caseback and even the outside of the caseback. If all those were kosher, sadly, this is actually a modestly priced piece right now.
In a word yes - if this was polished and modern parts like the bezel were substituted, the value would go down not up.
At least one dubious end link and I´ll bet the one that looks ok is a trimmed 20mm. The picture of the 1035 shows two correct looking end links but this doesn´t match what is actually attached to the watch
The whole listing is irritating. new box with instructions for a modern omega? it puts me off the seller - mind you whenever a seller starts to quote or rehash the history of Speedmasters in space, often inaccurately, or carelessly, I get wound up. Because from experience, the ease and integrity of a seller is inversely proportional to the amount of irrelevant information in the listing. the watch is $2000-2500 over priced.
