If you intend to buy a gold stepped dial, please be more careful as now the "masters" are making molds for mass production.
Think of how lovely it would be, if these Guys put in the same effort in producing reproduction parts for movement... Actually making the watches work, by supplying items that weren't made to deceive others and with the intention of preserving the heritage instead of pissing on it.
So I found this one for sale recently... is it real? I've never seen a white gold stepped for sale before but it looks scarily like the mold?
That minute hand looks ridiculous... Also, @Dero13 do you have a link to the auction? It doesn't look as white gold to me from that single picture.
Its not an auction just saw it on IG. Only 1 photo and seller hasnt yet responded when I asked for more photos/reference number
I did a search for something watch-related the other day and it took me to this forum for people who build- on purpose- fakes they call "replicas" to cheat people out of their money. It amazed me that not only do people consider it a "profession", but they take the time to create an internet forum to discuss it in detail.
Dero13 please keep us posted because that would be the "best" fake many of us have ever seen. That would be really really scary.
