    Omega friends,

Another technical question on my knowledge journey.

A friend of mine whom I consider very educated on Vintage Speedmasters was explaining to me that in the 145.022 range there are different dials than just step and flat. He believed there was a step variant that was more of a "ridge" that came into existence.

I'm wholly confused and have no reason to not believe his expert advice as he has had many vintage speedies.

Has anyone got any information to share on this, apparently the hour markers were slightly different lengths to the step dial variant?

Any help would be appreciated. Either challenging or confirming this observation.

    Thanks

There are two threads I realise both are really good. You will need to jump over the bad jokes until you get another 145.022 nugget. Also you have lots of pictures references.

If you can get some pictures of the different variances he was talking about, it would be more helpful in challenging or confirming it.

And sort of a domed step on the early 2915s. Can't forget about the 2915s...

Don't think I've ever seen a flat dial on a standard 145.022, there are flat dials on some of the later special/limited edition versions. The white gold model has a flat dial, but I'm not sure if that case is still considered to be a 145.022.
