    The printed logo stepped dial was limited to the 145.022-69 and 145.022-71. But dials had been stepped since the early 1960s, with the applied metal logo.

    That dial and that leather are a great combination. Even the bezel has joined in. Beautiful!

    Interesting that the step got more and more pronounced (2915, 2998 very mild step- 105.003 more pronounced and finally with the twisted lug models it had the most obvious step).

    Mind you, this is a guess, but I always assumed the change had to do with production cost. I can imagine Omega trying to cut costs on popular models when the quartz crisis hit.
