I think the steel beats the gold model by a mile. Thanks!

I'm the over way around at the moment but both are very good indeed. Great tribute watches with a nod to the future too.

Can you have too many threads on this iconic watch?

A very nice article, as always. It's nice to see some real pictures of the watch aside from the supplied renderings given by Omega.

This is FratelloWatches, who always post a thread here, when they have a new article, as a nod to ΩF ... get with the program.

Fratellowatches don't actually post these, I wrote a script several years ago that imports the initial preview of each Omega related thread from FW and posts it here with a picture and link so while it looks like its RJ it's actually a bit of code I wrote pretending to be RJ 😀

Haha, good to know. Thats very nice of you...thanks. So then to correct myself, now that I am 'with the program' : 'This is FratelloWatches ΩF bot, who always post a thread here, when they have a new article, as a nod to ΩF and FratelloWatches ... get with the program.' 😀

And this is the bot replying to the bot. 😉

I love this new piece for sure. Mike wrote the article but I agree on all points he made. I ordered the full gold myself, so blew my budget for the next three years, but otherwise I would have ordered one.

@Robert-Jan Thank you for the report. Would you have a pic of the steel bracelet buckle please? Is it made up like the 50th 1969 anniversary gold version or like the 60th 1957 anniversary version?

Also agree with the points in the article.
Steel's OK but it would have always been hard to live upto the gold edition (which I too have ordered). The full gold was an instant WOW, and for me I got to say is probably the nicest watch I've seen, period....and I've only seen pics/vids.....it must be pretty sweet irl.

I have just noticed that the full gold also has the 105.012 short pushers like the new 50th LE. That's a bit of an anomaly isn't it? Wasn't the original 1969-70 gold release based on the 145.022 so had long pushers?

Out of curiosity, do either the new moonshine gold or the stainless Speedmasters have tool-free micro-adjustments in their clasps? It looks like the clasps are very thin, so I am worried that the adjustment feature were lost when Omega reintroduced that aesthetic.

I might have, but can’t access it right now. Am at the airport and my SD card is in my suitcase. Will check in a few hours.

No. You need a little tool or toothpick. (Both versions)

Have this on my iPhone. Clasp is a bit similar to the gold version.
