I got a bit misty last night. Spent most of my career in North Jersey and Chi. So when the ships came in for the Giants, Rangers, Devils, Yankees etc. I was happy. When Da Hawks won three cups and Da Cubs finally erased the Curse of the Billy Goat, I was ecstatic. But I grew up going to Eagles/Flyers/Phillies games and religiously watching on TV. It was a family thing. THIS was a moment! THIS is the end of YEARS of frustration, missed opportunities, bad luck etc. ... I was thinking of my Uncle who kept his season tix through thick and thin, my Dad and Grandfather....we all bled Green/Silver and Red/White and Orange/Black. I kept saying "this cant be happening but it is, its f....ing real"...Wish I was there to help burn a few cars last night ....Congrats to the Eagles and their long suffering fans. Wish we had a Bill Murray to lead us in tears of joy but we don't need it.

 

I'm sure all the Pats fans will now come back to this thread and humbly state how they were incorrect, and congratulations to the Eagles

 

I went to my first Patriots game when they played in Fenway Park in the old AFL (a win over the Houston Oilers). So a long time Pats fan here.

I humbly state I was incorrect to say the Pats were going to win their 6th SB and a hearty congrats to the Eagles.

 

I was just pulling chains ;-) To be honest I have no dog in the fight - I was rooting Eagles merely because I went to the UofA a bit earlier than Foles did.
