Hi all, This week I bought the attached watch. I just went to Amsterdam Watch Company and they opened it for me. Told me it's from '69 (and really want to buy it from me, which I'm still in doubt of). However, if I check the 'charts' I see 1971/1972. The serial is 316xx., caseback says '69. What do you think? I bought it from the family of the original owner, he was sure it was from around 1970. Cheers and thanks
It's a 145.022-69 with the transitional caseback that was produced in 1970 according to speedmaster101.com. Serial number checks out as a 70' model too http://www.speedmaster101.com/145-022-69/
All these Speedmasters with the horizontal text have these features, a 69 case with a 31 million mvt, it is OK.
The watch head appears fine. Everything seems to match a 145.022-69 with "straight writing". It looks like the bracelet is a 1171 which would be correct as well. The only issue that I see is that while one end link is the correct 633, the other appears to not have any number, and might be a non Omega end link. Or thie might be the photo. It's true that the watch, while a 1969 model, was produced in the early 1970s
