Hey guys, I've been looking for a stainless steel Constellation that has a silver dial and yellow gold markers. The case on this one still shows all of the little scratches which implies it hasn't been polished recently. The dial looks in really good shape but I'm unable to tell if it has been refinished. It is case back 2852 with a 501 in it. The seller calls this a pie-pan but I'm also sure this does not qualify as a true pie-pan. Original?
There are minute ticks painted right where the raised markers are. The ticks are uneven and the general painting job looks sloppy. The fonts look wrong (no serifs). Redial.
I'm afraid it looks like a re-dial to me, too. As fjf says, the serifs are missing. What a pity . . .
Pity! I liked the look of this watch. It's amazing how easy it is to get stuck on the overall look of a watch and miss the small points when you are interested in it! This is why I love this forum, you guys will keep me in check!!
I think I'm going to have to get a helmet to browse this forum. It'll save me hurting my head when I pass out every time MSNWatch posts one of his collection.
