Hi all.

A SS bezel has just been crafted for me in Vietnam.
Now, time to look for a nice dial and hands 😁.

What replacement bezel....exactly.

Although frowned upon by many hard core collectors, you should start a vintage Omega orphaned parts supply. Many parts that are long NLA that can render an otherwise stunning watch, unusable. Another vote from me on a SM120 bezel done properly.

Very nice work!

The purist in me would have liked some way of identifying it (such as a small nick on the lower side at twelve o'clock), but I am really happy that a replacement bezel can be made 😀

I am in the proces of getting an impossible-to-find bezel for one of my Certinas made myself. Would love to have the ressources at hand to offer more of these solutions.

My feelings as well. Every time a discussion about something like this starts up, it goes off the rails and gets deleted.

I think there is a need for replacement parts like this for watches that have been orphaned. As I said in another post (that got deleted), Speedmaster nuts can bitch about “fake” bezels all day....at least they can still get a bezel from the factory! It’s easy to say “wait for an original to come along” when you have options.

Something that would be superficially identical and not ruin the look - that would make the originals more attractive to nuts like us and ensure that Joe Schmoe on the street can have a beautiful watch that we can scoff at...

The WatchCos are fantastic examples of this.

Saphire or hesalite?

Sapphire preferred but hesalite is ok. They could be a fun project but unfortunately expensive to make here in the States...I have one on my 321 Seamaster and on a bumper.

Dear friends.
All I have right now are the photos from Vietnam. Looks nice but I still want to check if any glue was involved in the process.
I also know it is hard for a guy who had only a case to work out into a bezel.
I wish I had an original bezel to give it to him so he can copy it and the job will be easier for him and cheap, too.
In a few weeks, I will let you know when I have it in my hands. You can contact me for his phone number and address etc...you should learn some Vietnamese then . 🙁

Wow how much was that? And could you compare it with another 2852? What cases does this fit with, I mean only 2852 or other 50es connies as well? And is it pressed or glued?
I wonder if he could make one as well for the 168.005?
Only one nitpicking would be this~
