Hi, I would like to buy some 20mm and 22mm push pins, however I would like them to be strong and perhaps thick....not sure if OEM from Omega are the best options or are there others out there that are better. Any ideas or advice on which way to go. Thanks guys!!

Do you mean spring bars? The expansion tubes that connect straps to watches on the inside of the lugs?

Yes, sorry wrong words...spring bars that's what I mean. If it could be corrected on the title great. Cheers

    Fixed.

A dive watch fan might know of some sturdier spring bars, but you'd need a wider opening in the end of the strap and probably larger holes on the inside of the lugs.

Thanks guys, well I do not want to make my lug holes bigger, and I want them to fit into the existing holes and also through my 1039 bracelet/516 lend links, so perhaps OEM is the way go, unless these thicker ones will work....but I do not want to make modifications at all. Did not think of all these things. Thanks!!

The Seiko type spring bars are thicker and sturdier. However they might be too big to fit your bracelet.

I would expect to a 145.022 or 012 (at least that's what they should be attached to)

guys, a follow-up to Pasbru's question: I noticed there are several different diameters for spring bars - 1.5mm, 1.75mm, and 2mm.

I assume the larger the diameter the stronger the bar? If so then are the 1.5mm bars only useful for really light dress watches? Or do most people go with the 1.75mm bars by default for most watches?

Most spring bars for modern Omegas like speedmaster pro and SMP are 1.8 mm diameter bars. Sometimes on watches like a Speedmaster date with the 7750 based movements they will use the 1.5 mm bars. It depends on the model, and for vintage watches like Constellations, etc. it would also depend on the size of the hole in the strap or bracelet that the bar goes through.

i use the largest that works with the watch and strap/bracelet that I can...

    Cheers, Al
