·As I hijack other member topic I decided to start new one as I have few more questions about spring bar / strap combinations.
So I learn today that omega dont recomend same spring bars for bracelets and straps. I ordered 2208 springbars and untill I wait for them, I am not sure what to do (how big danger of geting lost my watch is):
1) wear watch with bracelet springbar inserted in strap
2) return bracelet to watch
3) use provided springbars which are not oroginal Omega and wear it untill original arrive;
Also I see that Omega spring bar has only one “ring” at both ends but springbar that came with strap has two “rings”. Are those ring able to damage springbar holes?
I am sorry if I am asking stupid questions but self changeing of straps are new hobby to me and I see that there are lot of things that can go wrong in that proccess.
Worst part is that my local watchmaker that I used to take my watch for strap changes used standard braclet springbars few times on straps and I wore watch like that not knowing that I am in danger of loosing it.
