Spring Bar Tweezer Recommendations?

I've heard that the Bergeon 7825 Tweezers aren't ideal for dealing with the collar on the PO (and SMP 300s). Anyone find that they work ok or do you have a better suggestion?

Thanks!

I actually have those tweezers (and some of the cheaper clones, and some of the cheaper alternatives). I find them fiddly, don't work well with bracelets, and just overall worse to use.

MY favorite tool is the Bergeon 3153.

I’d also be interested to hear people’s recommendations on this as been looking to pick a pair up myself.

I found them to be a PITA to use, I much prefer my standard Bergeon 6767F tool.

If I have to use a double ended tool, I use a pair of these. The advantage over the tweezer style is that they can be adjusted to the correct size before compressing the springbar.

Heh, I have a pair of those and hate them! The bits aren't held firmly enough and would constantly either slide out, or be a pain to adjust.

3153?
Woops, yep! I'll edit.

I have a pair, and they work fine on my PO. Then again, I have never used anything else, so nothing to compare with.

Like most watch tools, they do need a bit of tweaking to work properly. I don't use them that often but always worked well enough for me.

I'm looking at getting this tool. The "parallel jaw" design makes sense to me and they won't break the bank.

Google "watch bracelet removal tool".

Have never used a tweezer spring bar tool, I find the standard Bergeron 6767F works fine. Part of it is practice, confidence and proper lighting/masking of the lugs.
