I am having less luck than other members. On last Tuesday I requested to buy a SM 300 case and was told "we can sell you one of these." And was given payment instructions.
Two minutes later I get an email "I'm sorry Please hold off. I need to check the quantities." I emailed back several times without answer. I sent another email stating I have been patiently waiting a week for an update on inventory and they said "Hi David sorry for the delay I will find out tomorrow"
-My name is not David.
I realize they are most likely getting bombarded with emails and orders but as a repeat customer I am a little disappointed.

This is why I recommend calling. With the built in time delays hours to a day, emails can't keep up with the confusion.

I should have heeded your advice, but finding a time to call from the States was tricky time wise and I have had no issue dealing with them in the past via email. They have been helpful and had great customer service in my past dealings so I was just surprised. Oh well. Lesson learned.

yes, that's a dilemma knowing that they will probably be at more than 2000 in one years time.

Marcus is still on eBay selling mostly vintage watches and parts. Nothing much from Omega though.

I bought a "Watchco" build Speedmaster Japan Racing from him around 3 years ago, but I think that was a leftover personal build.

He's still running a watch servicing business in Auckland.

And Giverny is a lovely young lady, I think she deserves some "Givenchy" to make up for the error 😉

@whatchyouwant : Giverny is a place not very far from Paris where Claude Monet had a nice property and where he painted in his old years The Nympheas paintings from his gorgeous garden ...

Givenchy is not exactly a perfume, Givenchy was one of the greatest French fashion designer of the mid 20th century, a close friend of Audrey Hepburn , and a real gentleman (Hubert de Givenchy) who developed perfumes because all fashion designers do so...

I remember Giverny well..........

My Darlin' saying "I'll just have a look around, won't be long."

Me.

As to using Givenchy as a semi-generic term for perfume, I offer no apology.
While great fashion houses like Givenchy, Chanel, Dior, Hermes, Lanvin, YSL etc etc make ladies think of fashion, all they mean to blokes is "perfume".

😁

Sadly I think it lost it authenticity.. So many people there, all year long! And the garden has been modified. A very old person, I can't remember who, who have known Monet and get used to visit him in his garden, said the garden was not like that at all, after it has been "restored" . I think it is the same for many things. We live in a permanent illusion ...
