Split seconds Column wheel Pocket Stopwatch chronograph? Kinda Olympic timer looking thing? anyone with any knowledge on these kinda things? seems very specific.. Done a lot of hammering keywords into google can't find a movement match anyone know any good sources for stopwatches? Or better yet enthusiastically collects them and can just tell me what it is google is a dick for this as all i get back is is split seconds chronograph wrist watches (that have appeared on hodinkee) that get 1000s of repins every week i think pinterest is breaking google? anyway here it is annoyingly UNMARKED with anything helpful
no nothing thats it i cant have "missed" it its a great big balance and you get a lot of "view" to the plates underneath
yes =) operates beautifully but all it has REALLY done is made me want a split seconds chrono wrist watch more than ever! tho the pocket watch is cool to look at and play with it is a stopwatch and seems "use limited" so took some photos came to sell it... now i cant find it! and i like it again tho... i would like to find its A) date and B) movement manufacturer... Im guessing 40s but i still may be off...
I've been thinking about this all day. There appears to be Lemania cues in the movement. Have you tried http://www.ranfft.de ? Edit looks like a http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&Valjoux_5_2F Almost.
Heaps of information on stopwatches around search about history of split second timers and stopwatches in general and they will lead you to the rabbit hole your after. Lemania looks like this....

I know is an old post ,but I think is a Valjoux 5 movement, some times used in some Heuer's models, judging by the crown maybe 50's 60's. Did you ever find it/ Sold it? If still with you I may be interested . What size case? Valjoux 5 are around 43 mm. But the case looks bigger.
