Well, according to the email received earlier, it sadly appears that I didn't make the initial cut. 🙁

Have been put on the "waiting list"... but will not hold my breath as I am guessing that there is a real low probability of making it now... 👎

Anybody around who managed to get in??
Affirmative 👍

Who’s this dude?

Will he be at the New York event?

I want to meet this dude...I dig his style...very cool. 😎 😎 😎

I met him in Frankfurt. I think he was in Milan too, and clearly in HK. I am fairly certain you will meet him in NY. Please do an Epic Mad Dog photo session with him (edit: if he is there, and you too).

All you disappointed folks are more than welcome to join our GTG in Old York - shire a week on Saturday.
We might not have trendy ladies with white leather satchels but we will have good food, decent (European) wine and fine Yorkshire beer.
And we don’t even discriminate about the day you bought your Speedy. 😉
(But there will be some great craic and splendid watches on show)

What does this event actually comprise? The article reads like marketing for a time-share sales presentation. Sign up fast, it's going to be really big. 🙄

I didn't receive any emails, so probably safe to assume my registration never got through

Also received the waiting list email. I don’t have the best luck with Speedy Tuesday. I was on the waiting list for the Hong Kong event as well as for both ST watches.

He’s an Aussie. A serious collector and, besides watches, a great person. We got to meet once a year or so in the last 4-5 years, always had great time. 👍

Had to write him lately, when I saw this picture. He told me that was already the version 2.0 - he did the v1.0 earlier this year himself for another event and made some adjustments for that #speedytuesday event later. He said, it’s easier to carry than a watch roll 😎

I am like you. It was easier getting my GT3 than getting into this event. I assume a lot of the regular collectors who have already been to the other ones get to go, by then the open spots are even smaller. Still wonder what the criteria in choosing is.

I’m not one of the “special” people and just responded right away.

-love the GT3. I’ve still got my ‘07 997 C2 (meteor grey).

I am hoping to make flight arrangements for the SpeedyTuesday event in NYC in September and was wondering if anyone had an idea about the best airport to fly into. I don't think we have any details on the location of the event yet so it might be a crapshoot, but what is the best option? LGA or JFK?

Ha, there is no best option between those choices. 😉

Haha, I'm sure there isn't. Like choosing the better option of O'Hare or Midway. I guess I am just looking for the lesser of two evils. LGA is likely to be closer to the location correct?

Yes, marginally, but the construction situation there is horrible.
