One of the first shots of an Ultraman on a different strap. It took me few seconds to realize which watch model it was. Not too many around yet..

( or articles 😉 )

Damn, just when I thought I had enough straps 😲

Might have to swap my thick black leather out for a suede strap, they look really comfortable. How does the suede strap feel?

my problem with suede is it ages very badly, after a week it starts to get shiny and from there it only gets worse

He openly admits up front that "We were contacted by Paul from Paul Twice to give their straps a try and we gladly did so."

It's not uncommon for suppliers to send 'samples' to magazines and blogs with the hope of getting a favourable review and ultimately drive some sales, right?

While most of the article is positive toward the straps, the colour, the thinness and the packaging, Robert-Jan does give some negative critique, "One thing that I wasn’t particularly fond of was the buckle. The shape is a bit too unrefined (too big) and the finish was a bit undefined between polished and brushed, resulting in this strange gloss. ".

It's also not uncommon for those who write blogs, make watch review videos, or run forums to request free product from suppliers in exchange for a review, so it goes both ways. I get these requests frequently...

Hmmmm. I always wanted a suede band, I have seen that happen to alcantara steering wheels in cars but never thought about that on watch straps.

I’ve a navy suede strap from Bas and Lokes which I’ve been wearing for a couple of months with no issues, very comfortable and no ageing etc.

I’ve had a brown suede from B&R on my Trilogy,
worn often and still in great shape.

I have a similar strap from Hamilton Leatherworks, I prefer two stitch on the vintage looking Seamaster
