The Omega Speedmaster CK2998 seems to be one of the most sought-after vintage Speedmaster watches. On a weekly basis we get a couple of questions whether we know one for sale. A few weeks ago, I met with Roy Davidoff of the Davidoff Brothers boutique in Geneva. He told me that their shop specializes in vintage watches and that they have a huge love for Speedmasters (and Speedy Tuesday). Interesting read for me, for many reasons .... "Your own Omega Speedmaster CK2998-4 might have a different set of hands and still be perfectly original." Not quibbling at all ...

And having just read the sellers site, I will not be buying this.

I do not like a -4 with a 19m serial.

I suspect that the movement came from another watch.

Interesting that as soon as I saw the non original hands, I was inspired to go through the watch forensically.

The dial is interesting, but this watch has the same problems as the unsold 2998-2 in Christies - this also had a 19m serial:
