I dunno man, there's something jarring about the style of this watch. Looking at the red hand against the stark white and black background is essentially the visual equivalent of nails on a chalkboard to me. It almost looks like a cheap fake IMO

Most likely what all the folks thought about the ultraman a couple decades back...

Could be, but those were a small run of watches. Orange accents on black tends to work well though, like on the Heuer Autavia 1163 "Orange Boy" / the 11630 versions with orange hands and dial accents. There are probably a couple others too. A dash of color works nicely against a muted background, and I think this CK2998 might have worked a lot better with a cream or silver dial rather than stark white.

looks very similar to the previous CK2998 "LE" ☕ just change the blue shade on the dial for a black shade, throw a red hand/Speedmaster text, a pulsometer bezel and voala!! a new CK2998 LE is born! 😵‍💫

great read, thank you. It's funny I'm changing my opinion on this watch quite often, in some pics i love it, in others i don't. I can't wait to see it on a bracelet.

Visited Baselworld, failed to get a closer look on this one. Yet, my order is in and confirmed for August. Now, I still wonder, how will that new Speedy Tuesday look RJ...? 😗
