What is the watch pictured in the first post? It appears to be a straight-lug case but has the standard Moon Watch case back. Also, from looking at the picture with the dial side, it does not appear to be a FOIS as the crystal looks to be plexi and the running seconds hand is a white spear.

It appears to be a straight-lug case but has the standard Moon Watch case back.

I think that case back comes from the SpeedyTuesday gift the participants to the first SpeedyTuesday event received back in october 2016. It was that regular case back with the participant name engraved. To me, that watch looks like a vintage watch (2998 or Ed White) after a full service in Bienne 😁

That makes more sense. Pretty cool idea to actually put the caseback to use.

Actually, I'm almost 100% sure that's the modified FOIS of someone I (internet) know. Modified with a plexi crystal, the seconds hand swap, and a custom caseback.

How do you even find out about these get togethers?
Well @Robert-Jan invented #speedytuesday and designed (well heavily influenced) the ST1 LE. 😉 but due to vagueries of the English language I assume you mean the next answer.

I think the registration for the get togethers are on Instagram. Might want to follow Fratello and #speedytuesday

What I was thinking.
Like @dukerules said, it does look like a modded FOIS. I’d love to have plexi on my FOIS.

The Speedy Tuesday events are announced via our newsletters (of our website fratello.com) and on our instagram accounts @fratellowatches and @speedytuesday
