Just got the call from the Omega Dealer that a Speedy Tuesday has come in and is available for me. I dont want it, but the businessman in me is telling me to buy it and flip. Anyone looking for one that can't find one?

I think I am going to just go and buy it and see what offers I get for it or list it on ebay with a best offer. None on there from US sellers and the Omega Forum guys arent the ones who will pay a premium. Thats not a dig at OF members, its just that we are more conservative buyers than the general public.

Its a limited piece and I know people are deep on the waiting list so, its worth the gamble and I cant let them send it back to Corporate.

One way to look at it is "Oh I could let it get sent back, and go to another person who really wants it". But in reality what it will do is go to another person on the list whom likely signed up purely for profit.

If you can float the money, I doubt you will ever lose on it. I'd try to convince my wife that it was like having a different investment. But not really sure how well that argument would go.

Got the speedy tuesday book, a red leather travel case, Speedy poster.
Tried to avoid taxes by shipping out of state but, was told that as of last month this is no longer an option as Swatch Group has a presence in every state except vermont and new hampshire.

So everybody has to pay the sales tax

 

I wish they'd get me my damn Speedy Tuesday to NYC that I ordered 9 months ago
