It’s an Alaska Project black dial. The hand is red, not orange, so pretty sure it’s not Ultraman.

I like this theory

Also #BMW hashtag and 50 yr anniversary of Red Racing this year, possible we see a Red Racing with some twists. The line in the chrono hand is a bit sporty as well.

Supposed to be Imola red, Interlagos blue, and Laguna Seca blue...colors of intl race tracks. Interlagos always looked purplish to me.
Interlagos Blue is supposed to be blue with purple metallic flakes in it

As a previous owner of one, I would say it had a purplish pearl effect too. Not bragging here, but I’ve owned every M3 model except for the E30 and worked for BMW for 12 yrs.

No it did actually change around 2000. The purple was for a partner... it officially changed to dark blue. Hence my Imola red interior has both purple and dark blue depending on the stripe.lmas it was a transitional period in 2000

Omega is trolling us. This is going to be the Tokyo Olympic 2020 special edition. Same as the regular professional, without the cool box, and an orangish-red second hand.

Contrast stitch on the strap too.

I trust you. I was lied to in training, it probably sounded cooler at the time. At least they never used Phoenix Yellow.

I can definitely see some orange in the hand, but maybe I just want to. I wouldn't think Omega would do back to back Alaskas. Also the shape of the hand is wrong for an Alaska.
You’re right. The chrono should be a spear hand. Damn. Wanted it to be so badly.

Red Racing dial?

Maybe an invered ST1 (White dial and black sub dials) with a read chrono second? If not an ultraman...

This month marks 40 years since selling M-series cars to the public (i beleive RJ's dash pic is the inside of the M1).
Next month marks 100 years since the formation of the company BMW.

My vote would be no.1 😀 But soon we shall see (or not!)

Omega team members ( & FratelloWatches ? ) definitively aren't running out of ideas 😁

I’m guessing like the first ST it’s a mix of influences. Probably a new racing dial with that red/orange seconds hand to give an ultraman nod. 2.5hrs to go! Maybe something in the vein of this.

@nurseford25
Great guesstimation but You could have used their new red chronograph hand and the off-center Omega logo on the hesalite 😁
