This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission. It is perhaps the most talked-about mission besides the Apollo 11 Moon landing. The mission that had a rough start, to begin with, and almost ended with a fatal accident in space. The Speedmaster didn’t fix the issue onboard the Apollo 13 service module […]

Hopefully Omega will bring out a great 50th Apollo 13 tribute Speedmaster with the toolwatch aspect in mind... rather than "special subdial" versions we have seen over the years up to 2019 :coffee:

Still one of the best LE watches ever made by Omega.

    Thx for the article.

I picked one up for a song 10 years ago, the "eyes on the stars" motto really makes it for me.

I don't have chance to own the Omega Snoopy. So I managed to get an customized Undone Snoopy quatz for now and hope I can meet a new Apollo13 LE w/ Snoopy.

I thought the snoopy was this one, below, but apparently there are many variations on it.

Ha! Just found one, online, for only $439. I love how these folks advertise their watches... BTW, the way, the seller is "OK_Watches" which reminds me of that insurance commercial.

My favorite part of the ad: "Buyers can receive a partial refund, and keep the item(s) if they are not as described or with quality issues by negotiating directly with seller within 30 days from the day the item(s) were received". Isn't this saying, "we know it's crap, you'll shortly see that it's crap, but ask nicely and we'll give you back some of your money for this crap".

I've a hunch that RJB already knows about the next LE Snoopy Speedmaster. He just won't tell us.

We can assume Fratellowatches has first dips & info on the Speedmaster chronographs as they have to prepare the #SpeedyTuesday articles

I hope we won't get another "Snoopy" but a real toolwatch chronograph tribute to the Apollo 13 mission...

Please don't encourage Omega, if they read this I'm afraid it's going to be set at 10k+:whistling:. 5K is a much better price.

Given that the Apollo 13 mission is what got Omega a "Snoopy Award" the original Snoopy Speedmaster is a fitting tribute.

The Silver Snoopy has less of a connection in my mind. The Snoopy image doesn't match the Snoopy Award Snoopy, the "Failure is not an option" is not something Gene Kranz ever said during the mission, the only real call out to the mission is the 14 seconds text referring to the burn.
