The 1980s could not be described as the decade with the epitome of good taste. Today’s Speedy Tuesday subject is a typical product of the 1980s, a bi-color Omega Speedmaster Professional DD145.0022. Although the case design, dial and bracelet are those of the typical Speedmaster Pro, the use of materials and colours could be defined as ‘1980s’. Personally, I would not mind owning this Omega Speedmaster Professional DD145.0022 as I am a kid of the 1980s and love these things. They bring back memories of how things were in those days. Probably some of the nicest photography of that model I've ever seen, and RJ does own a solid 18K German market LE Speedy so is every bit as much of a pimp as the owner of this watch would have been in the 80s
Thanks @dsio . I really love this model, the one featured on FW in 2012 was actually for sale in a watch shop here in The Hague. Price was kinda steep at the time (3700 euro, asking price) but it is quite rare. I should have bought it back then. Well, for now I will manage with my gold Speedmaster indeed.
