Bought a TinTin a few months ago. It was acquired from an ad in The Netherlands last April.

    The serialnumber is 777974xx.

After reading all relevant articles and post I'm really curious about how many Tintin's were produced.

I bought mine on Monday from the Oxford Street Omega boutique - 777767XX.

What's the latest estimate of total production?

I bought one a few months ago from an AD in California -- SN 777823XX.

Incidentally, my Tintin speedy came on the new style bracelet - 1958/957. Is this typical?

Yes indeedy. Mine also came with the same bracelet. Purchased last September and came in the older style box (much to my disappointment). I'm assuming that all of the tintin's came with the same bracelet.

mine came with the newer style bracelet too and new style box (Sold Novemeber 2015)

but apparently you can order and buy the new style wooden box off the dealers and they are not that expensive

There must still be some out there. I purchased a Tintin yesterday at an Omega Boutique through their network in the Midwest. I love Speedys and have been looking for a Tintin for a while, last week I found one available on the bracelet and picked it up yesterday. The price was good so I added a couple NATO straps to switch it up with. Came in the new style wood box like xantiagib said above. Great looking watch that I think will hold a solid spot in my roation.

Wow, surprising. My boutique told me that at least since April they were no longer taking orders for these in the states. Surprised any boutiques still have these in stock. At this point I figured that grey market was the only way to get a new tintin.

Not really. New, they seem to be going in the range of $3000-$3200. You can find some deals if you look around.

This one on rakuten is $2900 new and the listing has been up for several months with no takers...

I was looking for a while before they found one. They actually had two pop up when i had them check at a Speedy event the last week. At the time of my purchase there was one additional Tintin left in the system. Unless someone has purchased it you should be able to get it sent to any Omega Boutique in their system.
