They care cause the true story about the watch was revealed! I mean that:
a) its actually a LE Speedy,
b) noone (except the insiders) knows the exact # of pieces produced (which is a rarity)
c) its a "MISTAKE" production which also makes it a "unigue situation" for a well known watch brand.

So the price moved up to reach other LE Speedy models.

For sure not a "Paul Newman" case here though

It’s neither an LE, nor a mistake.

It was a standard catalog model that didn’t do well.

Everything else is back story and speculation around the pre-production prototypes.

Chris is correct, this is not an LE and certainly not a "mistake". It was simply a deal that collapsed and Omega did the best with it they could and that was lucky for me because I have a watch that has a great dial and sufficiently different in design from the normal Speedy dial. I would have loved the rocket (any rocket) on the dial As for the price, I don't care at this point because I am not selling or buying my Tintin.

As for LE's perhaps Omega might make a Moon Tardigrade LE if we push firmly enough.
