Hey, come on guys, please let him drive the value up over $20k. I would happily sell mine for that and rotate the funds into an early '60s speedmaster, or get serious about acquiring an Italian Albino 馃槑

Put a second pair of sunglasses! Sunshine blasting from Tintin streaming up to open space might damage your eyesight!馃嵖 Meanwhile I will stay in the safe side and will keep on eating my popcorn!

I have one. Nice watch but I don't understand why you keep returning with a new user ID and post this crap??? Do you really think that a few random posts on a forum will inflate the value of your watch?
Not at all. A simple post like mine... and it makes a scandal... I just said that鈥檚 a valuable watch. Like many other watches... that鈥檚 all. Thank you to all

Scandal? There's no scandal here. You made a silly statement that implies these watches are actually worth the ridiculous sums that speculators suggest that they are.

No one cared about this watch, and now it's "valuable" because a few watch blogs have suggested it's the "next Paul Newman"?

Pull the other one, it's got bells on.

Fabien,

I want to buy a TinTin.
Would you consider my offer of $10K? Or you will wait to reach 20K? 馃榾
I suggest you delete this thread and return after 5-10 years and maybe the price will be 10K+

They care cause the true story about the watch was revealed! I mean that:
a) its actually a LE Speedy,
b) noone (except the insiders) knows the exact # of pieces produced (which is a rarity)
c) its a "MISTAKE" production which also makes it a "unigue situation" for a well known watch brand.

So the price moved up to reach other LE Speedy models.

For sure not a "Paul Newman" case here though 馃榾

It鈥檚 neither an LE, nor a mistake.

It was a standard catalog model that didn鈥檛 do well.

Everything else is back story and speculation around the pre-production prototypes.

At least when he posted his pump and dump bullshit Taz spelled it right and stuck to the same identity. Who was Fabien before?

Chris is correct, this is not an LE and certainly not a "mistake". It was simply a deal that collapsed and Omega did the best with it they could and that was lucky for me because I have a watch that has a great dial and sufficiently different in design from the normal Speedy dial. I would have loved the rocket (any rocket) on the dial 馃憤 As for the price, I don't care at this point because I am not selling or buying my Tintin.

As for LE's perhaps Omega might make a Moon Tardigrade LE if we push firmly enough. 馃榿

Fabian, if you do own a Tintin, send me via PM the full movement number so I can add it to the slow growing data base of known numbers.

If the tintin is that valueable the brown Speedmaster must be worth millions.

Or if errors make it so valueable then start buying up those 220 errors.
