Speedy Reduced 3510.50 -- cal. 1143 behaving oddly

I have a Speedy Reduced with a cal. 1143. It's just back from a full service. However one thing I’ve noticed is that when I press the chronograph pusher to start the stopwatch function the main minute hand (i.e. the normal time one, not the chrono subdial one) jumps forward. It's only a little tiny bit, usually just about a third of a gradation (~20 seconds' worth or so). However sometimes it's a lot more. If I use / reset the chrono several times in quick succession then it doesn’t do it after the first time but if I leave it a while and do it then it really jumps forward, sometimes by a whole minute marker. Is that normal? I'm guessing not buut maybe. Any idea of the cause?

The service was expensive and comes with a 24 month warranty so I could just send it back. On the other hand that seems a shame when it's something I could live with (I don't intend on using the chrono a lot if at all to be honest)

Thanks

Ollie

Who did the service? Did they clean and oil the module, replace the Chrono module, or just service the movement?

I had the same issues with my old Reduced speedy. Sometimes it also would cause the chrono hour hand to jump as well. I sent it back to Omega service 3 times before trading it to a dealer (with full disclosure) for my Speedy pro. I would suggest sending it back in while it’s still under warranty.
Also, I didn’t use the chrono very often but I would recommend using it more than normal once you get it back. Just to ensure it was properly serviced. I did this with mine and each time it took less than a week to start messing up again. It’s frustrating I know, but on a watch of that price, I wouldn’t accept anything less than properly functioning. Just my 2 cents.
Good luck!
