I've been developing an interest in possibly adding a limited edition Speedmaster. Unsure if its even possible for under $10k. The Soyuz, Snoopys, and ST's are all crazy money. Already have a standard 3570.50 but would be nice to add something just outside the ordinary.

A wide range of speedy's are available under 10K:
There are some Speedy reduced models under 10K, The M Schumacher Kart, Mauri to name a few.
Speedmaster pro Tokyo 2020 models can be found for under 10K and have some nice dial variations.
Speedmaster CK2998 LE for under 10K
Omega Speedmaster Gemini IV 40th Anniversary LE and the Omega Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11 40th Anniversary

Just to name a few.

Looking mostly at space related instead of the racing and reduced models.
The Apollo 11 40th looks interesting!

Many of the The Apollo 11 anniversary limited editions can be had for under 10k. 20th Anniversary can be had for quite cheap, but the watch itself only has an inscription on the side.

the 60th ann. trilogy would be a nice choice, if you can find one under 10k.

Another vote for the 60th Anniversary edition. I would also definitely look out for an Ultraman if prices soften a little after the craziness we saw early last year.

The First Omega in Space edition is different enough , with straight lugs and alpha hands

and if you really want to rock-it , HB-SIA with GMT co-axial from the solunar flight around the world, is the best value for money Speedy out there. In fact, i think you can have both for 10K

Every single one of the Tokyos is a winner. But if it has to be space themed what about the Apollo 15 40th anniversary?

Ultraman prices appear to be increasing again if anything.

Another nice option could be Apollo 17 "The last MAn on the Moon" with a hint of gold (gold one even better but not in that budget).

I'm going to second the FOIS as the best alternative Speedy for the budget. You get a whole different form factor (more balanced IMO) and the classic 2998 dial configuration. The trilogy 2915 appeals for similar reasons but is rather more expensive and the lume colour can be divisive. I like it but not everyone agrees.

The cheaper Speedy LEs are often cheap for a reason. The original silver coin dial Apollo 17 for instance would be in budget but an acquired taste, that said, there are no mingers on this thread so far.

If you‘re lucky you can still find one for retail 😁

The Rising Sun with the burgundy bezel is one of my favorite Speedmasters I own. Photos don't do it justice and the dial looks incredible in the light. Truly a proper premium-feeling Speedmaster that I'm surprised is still available under $10K!

Prices on Chrono are insane. On forums they are a lot less. 12k-13k
