Later 70ties greenish lume, looks all fine from what I see.

EDIT: If that is a step-dial, we might need to see some more pictures. Is this a -74?

Have you reached out to the seller? A lot of times they will be open and honest.

I don't think a determination can be made just based on these photos. The lume at 12 and the color is concerning. When I see a bunch of paint missing from the hands and full, thick lume I start asking questions...

 

The watch is a 71.

 

If he is not a dealer (read: straighforward), ask him to see how long the lume lasts for when "charged" with a flashlight for a few seconds.

 

Same here looks inconsistent ...

 

It has the correct colouring for the period but enough red flags (puffiness, uneven boarders, severe discolouration to lume on hands) that I'd want to see it in person to decide.

 

Thanks for the comments. I got it but with the clear understanding that if after "in person inspection" its determinate to be retouched and it does not meet the expectations, then I will send it back. Seller was ok with it. Once I have it in here with me, I will take some better pics and post some here to revisit.

Need better pics, or of course seeing it in real life. Based on the pics, I would lean towards re-lume. The color looks off to me for a -71, but that could be due to the image being edited, and the end of the markers do not seem straight enough, but this too could be due the quality of the picture.

I bought my Gemini 4 off eBay several years back, the pics were very poor, and it was a huge gamble. When it arrived it was almost mint, and there was no way it appeared so in the pics. It also included the original sales receipt. Remember when you could buy a Gemini 4 for under $3k?

As promised new pictures of the watch now that it is in my hands. Very nice DNN bezel but there is something in the dial that I don't like. (not including the hands in the discussion) let me know if you guys can see what I'm talking about.

 

Change the crystal for starters

 

Yes, I know. The crystal should be replaced but I'm not going to keep it. There is a mark on top of the A that I don't really like. I don't know what it is, but it looks like a dot made with a marker. I added the pictures since we were wondering about the reluming earlier. I really like that it came with papers but...yea
