Hi there! A watch freak guy that I Know want to sell me ; or I want to buy from him some parts of a 145 022-71 ST. everything is in decent condition : case, dial, tritium hands plus a assortment of 861 parts. The thing is I never saw a stepped dial with short markers and printed Omega logo on a 145 022 ST. As the price is very reasonnable I will takes them. Have someone ever seen a stepped dial on an early 70's speedy? Can it be possible as there are some unknown transitionnal pieces? Some models are discovered each year. Here's the dial I'm takling about. The whole lot is roughfly a little higher thant the normal price of the dial alone. So I would have liked to have your opinion. cheers
Haven't you already asked this tonight? The late 60's (with the exception of the 68 transitional) and early 70's 861 speedmasters have this set up. Painted logo, short markers, step dial. There's normally a few on eBay at any time.
I had problem posting this thread tonight. Hope I haven't posted twice... Thanks for your answer. So the movement should be a 30xxxxxxx? That would be great because I have a spare one . I'm glad beacause the dial is even cleaner than ot appears on the picture.
These dials ran from 69 to about 74 so cover a range of serials. Check with speedmaster101.com or MWO but I would think the serials start around 29xxxxxx and run to perhaps 32xxxxxx
hey thanks. I ckecked on speedmaster101 but I only found some flat dials... that's cool beacause my movement is 313xxxxxxx so it should be ok. A nice speedy for about 1700 bucks.
The -71 is the last with step dial. This model can also be consider a transitional of sort: last with step dial and first with the stamped/molded hyppocampus in circle caseback.
