Hi team, please forgive my ignorance and that I still do not own a MWO book... I do not know if this topic is dealt with in the book... so please allow some questions 1) I have seen this kind of box in books associated with early Speedies (2915 and 2998-1, -2) and also with Mike´s NOS ref. 2998-1 , so I assume it is correct for these early references at least until 2998-2 - am I right? 2) I think the same box was used for early SM 300 (ref. 2913) and the Railmaster (2914) - is this correct? But I have seen these boxes with differently styled Omega logos on the front - see pictures below: This above logo is also on Mike´s box Now I have come across a box which is the same in all aspects like size, interior, outer gold deco pattern, seahorse, only the logo on the lower front part is slightly different, more humble compared to the other logo which consist of "multiple lines"... Is this just an iteration or is this box particularly dedicated to match SM 300 and/or Railmaster instead of 2915 or 2998 ? Am I too much into detail? Can somebody shed some light on this? Any assessment of the knowing experts is highly appreciated. Thanks and kind regards Erich
I have both types too. The second has a more modern logo and the edges of the cover are sharper. This is probably a later version
Thank you for your input! Can you confirm that both box iterations were used on the early Speedies? Until when? AFAIK they have also been used for the other 29xx references ( SM and Railmaster) - do you know about this?
Correct... below a quick snip from some old ads. And my own with the early logo... and the 2914 I think they were used up to around the very early 60'ies plus minus.
