Hello everybody! To the speedy pros. I wondered about the year of manufacturing of a 145.022 case. The case shows no date like 145.022 69ST for instance. It actually shows 145022 with no dot between 145 and 022 and is engravened C.R.S. under the case numer. Any idea?
I think CRS were used in the 80's. This is only off the top of my head though. Dial'/bezel font and presence of T's either side of 'Swiss Made' on the dial will give you a better idea.
Hi David Actually these are some case parts only. It has a DB90 bezel. According to what I red it may be from the late 70's.
I have a very nice 1984 with a CRS case. The initials stand for Charles-René Spielmann, who made cases for Omega and Rolex. https://onlineonly.christies.com/s/christies-watch-shop/speedmaster-ref-145-022-491/18189
Hello wsfarrell Nice watch you have. Actually, inspite of searching an old watch and seing all these scams, high prices, i enventually decided to assemble my own speedy. I can have a 861 for a decent price. Tha hardest thing will certainly be finding a nice vintage dial... I haven't decided yet If I will put a new service dial or a vintage tritium one.
