    Hi all,
I was recently presented with an opportunity to purchase the above reference Speedy. I have wanted to get one for a while now, but I want to get the feedback from the forum to see what you all think, and to ask what a reasonable price would be for the piece. I have not had price discussions for this watch, but I know the seller, and have had fair transactions with him in the past for other pieces. I'm working on getting a movement picture from him, but the rest of the pics are seen below. Please offer your feedback as you see fit, and thank you all in advance for taking the time to respond.
    Sincerely,
    Rick

    Bezel is a modern replacement.
Bracelet seems to be a service 1171.

Other than that the rest looks good and honest.

Modern bezel, modern service bracelet & endlinks. Nice dial patina, correct caseback with tall 'W' and short tail 'Q'. Case looks nice.

Yes, that appears to be copied and pasted.
I have worked with the seller previously, without issue.
Not interested in finding trouble now though.
    I agree it's a red flag

That all being said, would anyone care to offer up some guidance on a fair price for the watch.
Assuming that the watch is his and available for purchase.

A couple just sold here in the forum in the past few days, that should provide you with a good proxy.

    What is he asking?

The dial looks damaged and refinished on the right subregister(hope my english make sense). Could be the pictures that makes it but dont part with your money until you have seen the dial in real life if possible.

Could be a careless remove of hands and then applying some black paint.

No, I didn't. I may still in the future, but not just now. I thought I should give the sales department here a better look over before making a purchase from someone outside the forum.

The speedmaster101 tables are an excellent reference for making sure you are paying an honest price.
