Hello I was giving an old Omega Speedmaster from my father. I had it appraised and its case number is 145.022-69ST. The movement number is 29609323. I've attached some pictures. I can't find anything in the Internet that looks like this watch and was hoping someone on this board may know something about it. Any info is appreciated
Hi Welcome to the OF....see: http://omegaforums.net/threads/mark-ii-racing-dial-in-145012-68-sp-moonwatch.12760/#post-146221 Best - Neil Dibs , dibs & double dibs....
Great looking watch! Thanks. Any info you can tell me about the watch. Why can't I find anything about it on Internet?
Hi Your example is not the same as the one posted above (there is a 4th line of text on the dial ' Mark II ' ). Best - Neil
It's a special edition, released only in Japan I think. http://www.fratellowatches.com/speedy-tuesday-omega-speedmaster-pro-racing/
@flame, what is it then? One of the oddballs with Lemania movement as referenced in the thread? Something else?
Hi It appears to be a genuine pre moon '69 ' racing ' dial....produced in very low numbers by Omega prior to the release of the Mark II ' racing ' version which of course , we are all a lot more familiar with. Something I would love to own one day (hence my unusual use of ' dibs ' in a thread). Lovely heirloom.... Best - Neil
As Neil said a rare and valuable thing! You don't see many of these original racing dial 145.022's! You have something quite special there and it looks in auperb original condition! A great watch and I hope you wear it and enjoy it ☺️
thanks everyone for the info. This forum is really helpful, and like other have said, lots of great info.
