OK Speedy lovers here´s something for you all just before the weekend! As the title says a Speedmaster 145.022-68 coming on a 1/69 1039 stretch link bracelet with 516 end pieces. In my eyes this is the true Transitional. 1968 with step dial, flat tip chrono hand and the old Seamonster back. The overall condition as can be seen from the pictures is great, the dial and hands in excellent shape with a nice even lume colour which has turned yellowish in colour. There is a little black paint missing from the crystal retaining ring between the 4 and 5 o clock area. The case has still lots of definition and the case back is very sharp. Original old logo crown and DON bezel. The 1039 is dated 1/69 and comes with 9 stretch links and 516 ends. Also in crisp condition with a snappy clasp. The 861 looks very clean to my eyes ( check the screw heads out! ) and is keeping time. The serial number of 27 million dates to 1968. The chrono operates correctly, starting, stopping and resetting as it should.
