It seems the general consensus is to leave the hands original to a watch if possible - that makes sense.

I don't have a pic (not really critical), but I have a 145.012-67 where one of the little white sub-dial hands has a big flake of white paint missing from the center of the hand, not where it attaches to the post.

I see there are modern replacements which I assume are extremely close(?). Would you, (A) leave it be; (B) get the watchmaker to dab some white paint on it; or (C) replace all three sub-hands (so they match)?

    Many thanks,

    M'Bob

I'd leave it but if you absolutely couldn't stand looking at it, get a watchmaker to colour match some white paint

The other option would be to try and find an old, used replacement. A lot of people have had their watch serviced by Omega and the hands will probably have been replaced. Omega send the old parts back to the owner, so you might be able to source a hand that way.

I vote for the color match dab. Don't touch the dial though :D

But here's what I don't get, not having the experience of comparison: as there is no luminous to match, does a replacement, modern set vary in look or quality to the originals?
