I was wondering what people thought on the conflicting info on this 321 Speedmaster on Chrono24.
    https://www.chrono24.com/en/omega/s....htm?goal_searchtask_mail=1&picnum=2&tab=pics
It says it a CB 105.012 but the serial number is in the 18's? There is an archive extract from omega but the model is not mentioned, also it says it was manufactured under licence by Lemania Watch Orient which I haven't heard off before?

Should I steer clear of it, quite keen on a 1966 model.

    Many Thanks

Notice the extract says 1962 and doesn't even mention it being a Speedmaster? Most likely it's a Seamaster movement transplanted, hands are also wrong and the dial has that "sitting in the bottom of a watchmakers drawer" look. Assembled for sale imo.

    I would not recommend...
    Where should I start?
    Dial not in good condition
    replaced/and wrong hands
    wrong crown
most of the facets on the lugs gone...
    serial is too low

is this enough to stay away?

Many thanks for the advice Mac & Dsio, you are so right, best avoided, sometimes you just need someone to tell you whats staring you in the face :)

The 18.945 movement is from a 2998-5. The extract from a watch made in 1962 often has no other information than the date of manufacture.

I recently looked at a 105.003 with a serial number storting with 17*** also indicating a movement from a 2998. Could it be that older movements where used as replacement parts or that Omega used lower serials in newer cases?

    Man, zombie thread!

I think you will find that the common consensus is that your suggestion is very unlikely. Much more likely is a put together watch.
