    Hi guys just a quick question about my speedmaster reduced, is the any negatives to having the second hand running the whole time as aposed to stopped at the 12 o'clock position, thanks in advance!

    I'm not sure to undesrtand. If it's ok if the second hand in the 9 o sub counter runs? if yes, I find that pretty reassuring

    He means the chrono hand. This has come up a few times and If i remember correctly, it's fine to leave running.

    I have a Speedmaster reduced (as well as numerous other chronograph so), and the chronograph is always running on any one I happen to be wearing. I feel it is healthier to the lubricants in the chronograph system to have the parts functioning, instead of lying dormant.
