Just bought this one and decided to try fitting a leather strap to it. When I removed the pin I must have accidently pressed the sec/dat chrono set button and the display turned off. How do I go about getting it back? Was working fine before I fiddled with the band. ::shy::

Sell it and get a 186.004 instead . That way you can use any leather strap you like .
Hasn't it got a sliding clasp that you could move and adjust to your wrist size ?

My wrist is actually too small...although the band is adjustable the bracelet doesn't quite fit the shape of my wrist.

Battery curse..... yeah yeah yeah ;) You know you are all secret closet quartz geeks

It's a contact issue, common with the 1620, take the case back off using a case back knife (press on) and give it a blast of compressed air then pop the movement out (drop in with no screws) and clean the contact with a cotton bud, usually does the trick

I've got a few of these (great watches although the build quality leaves a little to be desired)

Hope it helps, PM me if not

    Tom
