Just bought this one and decided to try fitting a leather strap to it. When I removed the pin I must have accidently pressed the sec/dat chrono set button and the display turned off. How do I go about getting it back? Was working fine before I fiddled with the band.
Sell it and get a 186.004 instead . That way you can use any leather strap you like . Hasn't it got a sliding clasp that you could move and adjust to your wrist size ?
My wrist is actually too small...although the band is adjustable the bracelet doesn't quite fit the shape of my wrist.
Battery curse..... yeah yeah yeah You know you are all secret closet quartz geeks It's a contact issue, common with the 1620, take the case back off using a case back knife (press on) and give it a blast of compressed air then pop the movement out (drop in with no screws) and clean the contact with a cotton bud, usually does the trick I've got a few of these (great watches although the build quality leaves a little to be desired) Hope it helps, PM me if not Tom
