    Hi all,

The new guy here:) I'm having a serious desire to buy the 3592.50.00. Should I pay premium and try to get one with the box and warranty card or should I try to get one without the card if I can get it from a used omega dealer with signed authenticity documents? If I want to sell this watch in 10 years or so.. would the lack of that grey old box and warranty card come back and haunt me?:)

That would depend on the cash difference, complete with Box and Papers vs. Watch with it's original full bracelet plus a Letter from The Archives.
Yes, an Omega Letter from the Archives and not a note from a "used Omega dealer". This is a decision only you can make.

I have seen up to a 1000 euro in cash difference. In some cases the watches with box and papers looked worse than those without box. I have boxes and cards for my other two omegas so that bothers me a little. The bracelet is one of the reasons why I like the 3592.50.00:) Thanks for the tip about the archives! Much appreciated!

As said above in most cases you can get the extract of the archives from Omega (said that as the extract on my numbered edition 3592.50 is not available according to Omega, sometimes that happens :(). Would say just find one you like, regardless of having paperwork or not, and go for it! Mine says hi :)

Get the best you can find in term of condition, I wouldn't pay a 1000€ premium to have box/papers. In the end if you sell it you'll maybe sell it for less than the same model in equivalent condition with box/papers, but you would have bought it for less so all in all I'm not sure it's worth it. Of course if you manage to find a mint one with box/papers for the same price go for it, but I wouldn't focus on that.

Here's a pic of my former one that I should never have sold. ::facepalm1::

That yellow patina and the golden movement is a master combo! I tend to miss the omegas I have sold too. This time I will hold on to them longer I hope:)

Warranty card is not better than extract and you will get a box for 100 bucks. Oddly instruction booklet can be hard to come by. But if you need completeness you'll get it for way less than 1k. 20190129_075643.jpg 20190128_221640.jpg
Note, this is not original bracelet (but I have that too)
To me, this is a great combo that is still good value

Thank god! I was hoping someone would say that:) I'm personally more interested in having an extract than some old warranty card. especially since it does not cost a cool grand:)

Same issue here. Thinking now I’d rather have a good watch without the paperwork at a fair price, than pay more for items with negligible real worth.

Box and papers with a used watch is driving me bonkers. The watch I am almost ready to purchase is without a box without papers. The watch WO the Box and Papers is almost $1K less than the watch with the set. No plans on selling, going to wear the damn thing. But since you never know the future, the box and papers option is the conundrum.
I know the watch without the box and papers is the real deal and very nice.
2005 according to the serial number.
    Box and papers errrrrrrrrrrrr..........

Been there:) If it is 1k difference I would go for the one without the box and papers but that’s me. Later you can always buy a box on eBay and try to get an extract from the omega archives. I would save that 1k for another omega instead

I bought my 3592.50 #004-999 from the son of the original owner.
Other than the original sales receipt and warranty card, it's 100% complete.
I've added an Extract and a recent service from Chris Watch Repair in Chicago.
I'm sure I've got too much money in it but I've not seen another of the original 999 made for the Italian Market.
