I'm looking for a 1975 176.0012 and found the attached for sale but the dial looks odd with the hours marks inside the numbers on the dial. Is this is genuine variation or is it a fake? $_57.JPG

Ok I misread your question the first time. Yes it is different to most of Speedy Mark 4.5 out there, but I tend to say say it is a legit dial variation.
Here is mine as comparison which has more common dial variation.

I think that reference number came in 3 or 4 variants if I'm not mistaken. There's also a "TV" dial

Sorry to be picky but a Speedmaster automatic is not a Speedmaster Professional.

Thanks for your comments. After further research I have also verified that the dial is legit. In fact it is a 176.0016 ref not a 176.0012.

One further q. The hands are quite "white" (see photo in my original post). Should I be concerned that they are not original. They do seem to show some ageing in the lume however.
