This deserves a bump.

I bought this Mark II last year and I was looking for one that was from the late 60s. I used this tool and it predicted December 1969, so I bought the watch.

I received the extract today. Nailed it!!

Dang, just noticed the extract does not state Racing Dial, but Black with luminous indexes. Ugh, they did the same on my Blue dial Mark III...but I was able to get that corrected. Hopefully I can get this one corrected too.

@Taddyangle its clear to see why the 60's early/70's are so good (and I do concur, these too are my favorites)...would be great to get more extracts from the mid 70's onwards...hopefully with time. To all those who have uploaded...many many thanks.

@WurstEver proposed a nice idea (https://omegaforums.net/threads/speedy-production-dates-an-alternative-to-hartmanns-table.56856/) about using whatever extracts are attainable in order to try and predict the production date more accurately and with a finer resolution than Hartmann's table (at original time of writing, the MWO tables were not out yet -> they were released last week, but they are not under dispute in anyway whatsoever, if anything they are complimentary). If you slogged through the thread several solutions were proposed and tried.

For y'all : www.ilovemyspeedmaster.com

This is a tool that implements some of the methods described.
Enter a movement number (321, 861 and 1861 Moonwatches only) and get a predicted production date based on the current available extracts (or enter a birthdate and get a range of SN's).
You also get the matching entries in the MWO Tables.
And then it uses the reference(s) found to provide 'current market value' using the Speedmaster101 price chart, with a link to the excellent pages about the particular watch.

You can anonymously upload archive extracts too : please help make this tool as good as possible for all your fellow horologists.

Thanks to Greg for giving his permission to use the MWO tables.
Thanks to William for giving his permission to use the Speedmaster101 price tables.

Nice work, Eugene. Well past time this thread got a bump.

Thanks to the guys for alerting me that ... erm ... uploading PDF's didn't work.
They do now 👍

Sorry for the inconvenience, and greatly appreciate all contact regarding problems whatsoever.
I may not have time to fix them immediately, and seeing as web dev is about as far away from my profession as the moon is from earth, it may take a bit of time (like this evening 🫨).

If anybody else has any issues, please don't hesitate to let me know...otherwise I wont.

It clearly has to be produced before it can be sold.
The production date referres to that. The other way around would be concerning 😀

I loaded my extract. Delivered May 9, 1968 to Switzerland. Somehow ended up in Oregon, USA. Estimate was April, 1968. Pretty good estimate it turned out.

Thanks @eugeneandresson.

Reminder that if you have an Omega extract, you can load a copy onto ilovemyspeedmaster.com to help with Eugene's excellent site.
