·So, just wanted some opinions here. My wife is so great, she just surprised me with a 2005 Speedmaster with box and papers that she purchased on the RealReal. The watch is in great condition but I don't have a movement shot and I am reticent to open the back in case I want to return it. The watch serial number and the registration card match, links are 849 and all seems legit. It says the watch needs to be serviced (although I don't know if this is just the blanket language they put on all watch sales).
So my questions:
1. Has anyone every purchased something like this from the RealReal.
2. What is the going rate for this if nice and clean, with the doodads, around $4000?
3. Should I hold onto it and gift it to a child once grown, or hold out for the pre-moon birth year I've been hankering for?
