Anyone here give the IWC a good look before following the crowd? Thoughts?

I’ve got an IWC Portofino chronograph and a Moon. Different. The IWC doesn’t get much wrist time as it looks beautiful, but sort of dressy. I’m currently in shorts and the watch of choice is Moon. Job interview or formal in suit? IWC all the way.

Different animal I my view. I have a thing for IWC but that specific model is too busy and, frankly, cheap looking to me. It has this Breitling kind of design.

I agree with @7enderbender that the IWC is way too busy, at least for my taste. On a larger note, I don't know if it's a great idea to buy a watch that doesn't have the hallmarks of the brand. IWC is a tool watch brand that prides itself on great simple, clean design and this one doesn't have that quality. I think there are other IWC's that are probably a better option. The Speedy is an all-time classic though and it does have a great design history.

Hmmm, what is "following the crowd"?

Waiting to get on a waiting list that allows you to wait for approval that you can officially wait for a Daytona?

Because my house is beeing renovated I could'n take my watches with me to the temporary house. So I took one watch with me and it had to be the ultimate toolwatch. I do everything with it. Play golf, padel, ride a bycicle, etc.
