Speedmaster Moonphase Crown

Hi All, I have a new Speedmaster Moonphase and I am struggling with the crown as it keeps turning and won’t lock in place. Is this normal as on my Seamaster, the crown would push in and after a couple of turns lock into place and presumably seal it but the new watch is not doing this and the crown just keeps turning even after multiple turns.

The Speedmaster line does not have screw down crowns in their design.

The screw in crown it's for diver watches for better sealing..
