    greetings

Could this be *really* a NOS? 1970 145.022
Is there originally a "red" seal ?

It certainly seems to look the part, The crater box alone is worth silly money. Yep , the red seal is seen from time to time. Do you plan to wear it? I'd be a little scared. Seller must be asking an awful lot of money.

I can't say either way but it does look very good to my untrained eye.

The seal is unbroken...The watch has never been opened since it left the factory. What a find! :)

@Adbraz As NOS as can be... Great watch with a matching 1171 bracelet with screwed links. What I can see from your pictures is a one in a million find. Buy it now!

And yes: the red seal is all original.

So, is it a 145.0022 or a 145.022? Tag and hand written paper work do not match (could just be human error). Also cannot tell if dial is stepped from pictures. Still learning.

First post might make or break me... What better way to learn than to jump into conversations right?

Conversation is what it's all about.

It is common that the selling tags stated 145.0022 while the ref. inside the caseback said 145.022.

The dial is a step dial, it's all correct here and this watch is one of the best 1970 NOS watches I've ever seen. :)

Bad jokes aside, interesting that you see other seals on NOS omega’s that cover the whole or like 80% of the caseback. Seen that on for instance on bullhead omega’s

They did make both 145.022 and 145.0022 in 1970 though correct? Is there any way to tell this from the photos shown above or is the only way to tell for sure to remove the case back to see the stamped numbers? This is an awesome find OP!

In the 70s they only made the 145.022 (with several sub-references -68, -69, -71, -74, -76, -78) and this is what you'll find inside the caseback. The 145.0022 was a later service replacement caseback.

    I recommend start reading here:
