Just took delivery this week of the new (old) Speedmaster MkII 2014 re-edition with grey dial and orange highlights. Superb...

The pics were taken before removing three links from the bracelet - on that note I should also add that the push-button micro-adjustment on the clasp is super easy to use and extremely convenient. Kudos to Omega on that one.

Oh nice I saw the new SM300 has the push-button micro adjust, I didn't realise this did too, can you take some detailed pics of that?

Does it make it much thicker or is it the same as a normal sized Omega clasp? That is really cool I have to say

Very nice! I think I would good for the black dial version but both of these models are good looking! What's the function/purpose of the side button?

Its a bit thicker than my Planet Ocean clasps but then the watch is quite thick anyway, so it's not overly noticeable...

I tried on the regular dial at the Boutique last week. The watch is huge but the new bracelet is amazing - it's quite thin but solidly made, so has a real vintage feel while being the latest technology.

Yes, that is very nice. Might have to seriously think about getting one of these. I notice the case and bracelet of the standard dial version looks like DLC in many of the press shots contrasts with the catalogue pics. The other thing is the standard dial looks to have slightly different case finishing except when I looked closely I realised the chamfers are reflecting the brushed metal that the watch is sitting on. Wish I had access to their machinery though!

The standard dial I tried on had the same finish as the racing dial above - sunburst finish on the front, polished on the angles, brushed on the sides.

Do you have a picture of the case back?

Not at the moment, but it's a standard metal case back, with the embossed Hippocampus and Speedmaster logos. No see-through sapphire case backs here gents....

    excellent choice!

I had the chance to try this one on yesterday at the AD....
    wow...

i keep saying that omegas are the least photogenic watches ... This one is probably the biggest example of this...

I have to admit, when I saw pics of this one I was really questioning what they were thinking...

But, once on the wrist...this is killer!!
the proportions of the case and dial and bracelet just work so well...
the push button clasp extension was sweet...

if only I didn't have so many black faced SS watches...
at <6200$ it is one hell of a bargain as well!!

    I am officially envious

With apologies to Monty Python; surely there is room for just one more little addition to your collection. :) Although unlike in MP I cannot say that "it is only wafer thin"!
